“9-1-1” On FOX [Yay or Nay]

Last night [1/3/2018] was the premiere episode of FOX’s new series, “9-1-1” starring Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, and Connie Britton.

However, we were fortunate enough to preview the series a few weeks prior thanks to Atlanta’s Allied Integrated Marketing; which led us to assume that this would definitely be a HIT. Why? Because there’s never been a show created showing “emergency response” from all sides.

Via FOX:

“From prolific creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, new procedural drama 9-1-1 is a fast-paced exploration into the lives and careers of first responders – cops, paramedics, firefighters – the people who put their lives on the line to save others. 9-1-1 will premiere following the debut of the next thrilling chapter of THE X-FILES, Wednesday, Jan. 3 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Starring Academy and Emmy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner Angela Bassett (“American Horror Story,” “What’s Love Got to Do with It”), the series is based on the real-life, high-pressure experiences of emergency response providers who are thrust into heart-stopping situations that are equal parts unpredictable, intense and uplifting. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives. Emmy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated actor Peter Krause (“The Catch,” “Six Feet Under”) and Emmy Award-nominated actress Connie Britton (“Nashville,” “Friday Night Lights,” “American Horror Story”) have been cast in lead roles. Oliver Stark (“Into The Badlands”), Aisha Hinds (“Shots Fired,” “Underground”), Kenneth Choi (“The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story”) and Rockmond Dunbar (“Prison Break,” “The Path”) have been cast in series regular roles. The series will premiere in 2018.”

The series was so entertaining that we tuned in again last-night, despite the previous screening!

And as you can imagine, #911OnFox was trending with BOTH good/bad reviews.

Check out a few below:

“I agree with you. Having served as a paramedic for 30 years, I have to say this show is just too unrealistic. It insults the professionalism of firefighters, paramedics, police, and 911 dispatchers. This show will portray the wrong impression to many young impressionable minds…”

“This show is so raw, intense & beautifully told. I don’t usually live tweet about shows that I watch, but this show shows you who the heroes are in this world. The first responders, our law enforcement, nurses & doctors at hospitals, firefighters need I saw more? #911OnFox”
