[Fashion] ‘COLOR’ Was Definitely Trending At The 2017 Emmy Awards!

Last night thousands of a-list celebrities flooded the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California for the 2017 Emmy Awards! The EMMY Awards:

“recognizes excellence within various areas of television and emerging media. The primetime EMMY Awards are a symbol of peer recognition from over 20,000 Television Academy members. Each member casts a ballot for the category of competition in their field of expertise.”

The award show wasn’t ONLY amazing because Donald Glover became the first black person to win ‘best directing for a comedy series,” or because Lena Waithe became the first black woman to win for “comedy writing;” the fashion during the red carpet arrivals were equally as PHENOMENAL.

“A hint of COLOR was the TREND!”

Check out our TOP 5 favorite red carpet arrivals below.

ISSA RAE

Not only was Issa screaming, “BLACK GIRL MAGIC” [literally] via interviews, but she looked equally as stunning in her red gown designed by none other than Vera Wang.

Zoe Kravitz

ZOEEEEEEEEEE! OMG! She absolutely slayed this feathery rainbow dress custom designed by Dior. Between the dress and the pixie cut, Zoe is definitely killing the scene right now.

Viola Davis

Fall equates to “pumpkin,” and when you think pumpkin you envision ORANGE! And hunnyyyyyyy Mrs. Viola Davis is wearing this pop of colour! Zac Posen absolutely killed the design of this gown.

Cicely Tyson

Queen Cicely! We can’t forget about how gorgeous she looked! #Blackdontcrack

Tessa Thompson

And lastly, Tessa Thompson! We’d rock this custom design by Rosie Assoulin ANY day!

As you can see, COLOUR was one of the many highlights last night at the 2017 EMMY Awards!
