Jamie Lynn Spears’ 8 Year Old Daughter In Critical Condition After An ATV Accident

Sad News!!!

Maddie Aldridge, the 8 year old daughter of actress Jamie Lynn Spears, is currently in critical but stable condition following an ATV accident on Sunday.

According to released reports, Maddie was on a polaris off-road vehicle when it flipped over and sent her into a lake where she was submerged under water for several minutes. Shortly after, Maddie was rescued from the water unconscious and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

She has since been airlifted to a New Orleans hospital for further evaluation.

According to USWeekly:

“Maddie was strapped into her seat belt in the ATV when it was overcorrected while trying to make a turn. After the ATV tipped over, Maddie was submerged in water. Because she was strapped in, they couldn’t get her out immediately. Rescue workers had to get her out.”

In a released statement by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, they say:

“The ATV and child were instantly submerged in water right before their eyes. Within seconds the child’s mother, stepfather and other family members reached the pond, dove in and attempted to rescue the child to no avail. The child was trapped and secured by the seatbelt and the ATV’s safety netting.”
