[Lifestyle] You’re Not Where You Want To Be In Life Right Now? SO WHAT!

One of the LARGEST mistakes we make in life is ‘assuming’ that we know what’s best for ourselves at every stage, when we don’t.

However, we’d be completely hypocritical right now by saying that those negative thoughts don’t consume everyone at one point or another, because they do. But in those moments, how do you respond? Do you allow those thoughts to overtake you? Are you allowing the negativity to stop your daily productivity? 

If you answered yes to at least ONE of those questions, then you need to STOP right now and start using the substitution, SO WHAT!

So what, you didn’t execute your plan effectively on the first try. There’s always a second, third, and even fourth! So what, you didn’t get that promotion at work even though you were next in line. Maybe it’s the push you need to excel in another company elsewhere. So what, your friends business is doing better than yours. Do you know what she had to go through in order to get there?

SO WHAT!

Once you adopt that mentality, we guarantee that you’ll start seeing elevation and growth. Why? Because you’ll be less focused on the ‘distractions’ and more on the task at hand.

Along with adopting that ‘so what’ mentality, here’s a few other things you should do when you start feeling down on yourself:

#1 Celebrate Yourself.

It’s okay to give yourself a ‘pat on the back’ without feeling guilty. Always remember, you’re not where you were in life LAST MONTH, LAST YEAR, or even YESTERDAY. Take time to re-visit your accomplishments no matter how big or small. EVERYONE needs a little boost once in a while.

#2 Failure Is Inevitable.

You can’t prevent failure from occurring. Winston Churchill once said:

“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”

How will you TRULY learn certain things in life without failing first? Some of the biggest lessons come from failure. So learn to accept, and use it as a reminder of what NOT to do the next time around.

#3 Enjoy The Journey.

Don’t become someone who looks back on life and realizes that they don’t ‘remember’ anything because they were so focused on the next STEP! Take a moment to enjoy the journey. Become grateful for the WINS and not OBSESSED! There is a difference!
