Recap: ‘BLACK PANTHER’ [Los Angeles Premiere][Photos]

Marvel’s “Black Panther” opens in theaters nationwide on February 16, 2018, and fans of the brand couldn’t be more excited for the release!!!!

Last night in Los Angeles, CA. series stars: Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whittaker, and Andy Serkis flooded the red carpet for an exclusive premiere event.

“Black Panther is an upcoming 2018 superhero film, based on the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name. It is a sequel to Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War, and will also be the eighteenth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as the sixth installment of Phase Three. After the events of Captain America: Civil War, King T’Challareturns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country’s new leader. However, T’Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakandan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.”

The stars were also joined by writer/director Ryan Coogler, producer Kevin Feige and other “hollywood a-listers” which include: Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Janelle Monae, Donald Glpver, Issa Rae, Lena Waithe, Jamie Foxx, Usher, Tessa Thompson, Kumail Nanjiani, Yara Shahidi, David Oyelowo, Elizabeth Banks, George Lucas + MORE.

And as you can imagine, “reactions” have already been posted!

According to Variety.com:

“Jen Yamato of the Los Angeles Times calls it “incredible, kinetic, purposeful. A superhero movie about why representation & identity matters, and how tragic it is when those things are denied to people. The [first] MCU movie about something real; Michael B. Jordan’s Killmonger had me weeping and he’s the VILLAIN.”

“If you don’t understand the power of representation, imagine growing up never seeing a superhero who looks like you. When American Girl dolls came out I always picked Addy who had to escape slavery. But now kids have ’s Nakia, Shuri and Okoye. Dope on many levels.” [Natasha Alford]

Singer Jill Scott tweeted:

“BLACK PANTHER SURPASSED STAR WARS. With gratitude, awe, respect and invigoration, sincerely,”

Many [as you can expect] are flooding all social platforms with GREAT reviews!

We can’t wait to check it out on February 16th…..
