Money Mayweather has announced that he will make a special return to fight Conor McGregor!
According to Mayweather, he’s willing to step out of retirement to fight the 28 years old, Irish professional UFC lightweight champion and that the only thing keeping them from fighting is the “deal!”
Via TMZ, yesterday Floyd made the following announcement:
“For Conor McGregor, I’m coming out of retirement….just to fight Conor McGregor. I don’t want to hear no more excuses about the money, about the UFC. Sign the paper with the UFC so you can fight me in June. Simple and plain. Let’s fight in June. You’re the B side, I’m the A side.”
For the past few months BOTH Floyd and Conor have been going back and forth challenging each other to a fight! But Floyd is now more serious than EVER telling Conor that he’s willing to come on his turf.
“When I faced Arturo Gatti, I went to his turf. He was the A side, I was the B side. I beat him. I didn’t cry. I didn’t complain. When I faced Oscar De La Hoya, he was the A side and I was the B side. I didn’t cry. I didn’t complain. I beat him and I became the A side.”
EGOS aside, we believe this would be a good fight! Mayweather versus a UFC fight?
And another thing, Conor called FLOYD out, and now that Floyd’s responded he’s backing down. C’mon Conor!
Second retirement, 50th WIN? We Shall See!
To date, the fight will not happen! According to reports, negotiations are falling apart. Floyd and Conor can not make an agreement on finances.
We’ll definitely keep you guys posted!
