APPAULLED– If you guys are target “junkies” like we are, then you are just as shocked about their recent announcement!
The company is phasing out some of their most popular clothing brands. Brands such as: Mossimo, Merona, Cherokee and Circo have been replaced by newer lines.
According to reports, Target has decided to introduce twelve new clothing, accessories, and home decor lines in order to refresh it’s products and ultimately boost sales; which MUST be done in order to compete with well-known brands like Amazon and online boutiques.
Target’s Vice President Mark Tritton released the following statement:
“Our new brands are all about the changing face of our guests– what they need, what they’re looking for from Target. When we took a close look at our existing assortment with this in mind, we saw a disconnect.”
Target plans to gradually make the shift within the next two years!
If you’re a frequent shopper, then you’ve already noticed that they’ve replaced the “Cherokee & Circo” kids line with “Cat & Jack + Art Class.” Those lines are nice, but they don’t compare to the older ones, in our opinion.
Someone once said,
“The only consistent thing in life is CHANGE.”
Make sure to pay extra attention to the newer brands during your next visit to Target!
