Tragic: RIP To Actor John Heard & Legendary NBC Anchor Jim Vance

This weekend the world lost two AMAZING men within the entertainment industry!

On Friday, July 21, 2017 legendary NBC anchor Jim Vance passed away at the age of 75 years old!

Vance, who anchored for more that 45 years recently revealed in May that he’d been battling cancer, but did not specify what type of cancer OR the stage. This morning, the network confirmed his unfortunate passing.

An immediate outpour of condolences flooded the internet.

Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Browser wrote:

“Our thoughts & prayers are w/ his family. Kim Vance was a steady voice who shared the news- good or bad- with grace.”

Former Attorney General Eric Holder wrote:

“So sad to hear of Jim Vance’s passing. He defined what was best about journalism in DC & never lost the common touch.”

“Vance started on NBC4 as a reporter in 1969 and became an anchor three years later, according to the Washington Post. He was the area’s longest serving newscaster, anchoring the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. broadcasts since 1989.”

NO! Not Peter McCallister!

If you’re an 80’s baby then you grew up watching actor John Heard on the big screen as “Peter McCallister” in HOME ALONE.

On Friday, July 21, 2017 John Heard was found dead in Pato Alto, CA in his hotel room at the age of 72 years old.

According to reports, Heard was found by the hotels maid service and was pronounced dead upon arrival. It’s still unclear what his actual cause of death was, however, he was staying at the hotel recovering from a recent “back surgery.”
